The Grand Chancellor of the Order of Malta, Amb. Count Carlo Marullo di Condojanni, met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua, Eduardo Montalegre Rivas and his wife on a visit to the Grand Magistry on 22 September. Also present at the meeting, which took place in the Magistral Palace, was the wife of the Grand Chancellor, Donna Elisabetta, some members of the Sovereign Council, the Secretary General for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Francesco Guariglia, and the Ambassador of Nicaragua to the Order, Luvy Salerni Navas.

The private conversation between Count Marullo and Montalegre Rivas mainly involved the cordial relations and cooperation between the Sovereign Order and Nicaragua, with particular emphasis on the hospitaller and welfare activities of the Order’s international structures in the country and in the Latin-American continent, also in view of future agreements regarding assistance for children and the blind.
