Kyiv – On 6th June 2019, at the Ministry of the social policy of Ukraine, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Government of Ukraine and the Sovereign Order of Malta, with the aim of increasing humanitarian aid.
For the Order of Malta, Ambassador Antonio Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone, Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Ukraine signed the agreement. Mr. Andriy Reva, Minister of social policies of Ukraine signed on the countries behalf.
The purpose of the agreement is to set the general framework and guidelines of the cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Sovereign Order of Malta aimed at promoting the medical, social, humanitarian, educational and health care actions of the latter in the territory of Ukraine.
The agreement has a duration of ten years and will be automatically renewed for another five years unless one of the parties agrees otherwise.
Diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the Sovereign Order of Malta were established in 2007.
