On 11 October, the Grand Master of the Order of Malta, Fra’ Andrew Bertie received a courtesy visit from H.R.H. Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, daughter of the King of Thailand, Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The Princess, in Rome for meetings at the World Food Program for which she is special envoy for south-east Asia, had requested to visit the Grand Master of the Order of Malta, which has enjoyed diplomatic relations with the Government of Thailand for many years. H.R.H. wanted to express her appreciation for the Order’s long-standing welfare activities in Thailand.
