A letter of intent states the aims – to promote combined events in science, medicine and faith
An Agreement to intensify the collaboration between the Order of Malta – in particular the department of the Grand Hospitaller – and the Pontifical Council for Culture of the Holy See was signed this morning in the Vatican. Its aim is to strengthen cooperation between the Order and the Council: “This is an important synergy,” Cardinal Ravasi, the President of the Council, said.
The collaboration between the Order of Malta and the Pontifical Council for Culture of the Holy See has, through the years, led to numerous initiatives of great scientific and religious value, where the Order has put its highly qualified medical staff and its healthcare volunteers at the Vatican’s disposal.
Among the key events in recent times, an important involvement was the participation of the Grand Hospitaller, Dominique de La Rochefoucauld-Montbel, at the International Conference on Regenerative Medicine, which was held in the Vatican in April 2018.
