The new Vision 2050 website, the Order of Malta’s global youth volunteering platform, was successfully launched at the Order of Malta’s international pilgrimage to Lourdes earlier this month. Vision 2050 helps the Order of Malta’s young members and volunteers find exciting projects for them and their friends. The aim of the platform is to provide support and assistance for volunteers involved in both local and international activities, enabling them to come together, share best practices and collaborate in the Order of Malta’s projects.
Jobs, internships or volunteering weekly, for a weekend, in the summer holidays or longer can be found on the website, with posts from all over the world. By joining the Order of Malta’s global network, young volunteers get to develop skills, challenge themselves in new situations, put the Order’s charitable mission into practice by helping the less fortunate and make long lasting friendships.
“Even though we were only able to do a few small things that may help we do them with love. The gratitude we received from those who have suffered so much was overwhelming.” says Anton about his volunteering experience supporting the Order of Malta at the Romania-Ukraine border over Easter, 2022.
Thanks to Vision 2050, volunteers have recently been to Romania, Croatia, joined the Order of Malta soup kitchen in London and found internships at the Order’s Mission to the UN in Geneva and with the Order’s Ambassador to Combat Human Trafficking.
