Thanks to an agreement with French Cooperation, a new unit for out-patients’ reception and medical examinations was inaugurated in the St. John of Malta Hospital in Njombe, Cameroon. The new structure will help to meet the ever increasing number of patients, a direct consequence of the quality of the treatment given.
The inauguration was held on 28 March, in the presence of the Cameroon Minister of Health, André Mama Fouda, the President of the Ordre de Malte France, Thierry de Beaumont-Beynac, the Sovereign Order of Malta’s ambassador to Cameroon, Christophe Heidsieck, and the French and US ambassadors.
A second mobile health unit was also presented, to assist road victims and strengthen the health service in the Haut Penja region.
