During the meeting, President Ondimba expressed his appreciation for the Order’s humanitarian work. He stressed the prestige it enjoys and hoped that it will be able step up its presence in his country. The Grand Chancellor confirmed that the Order was willing to commit itself further in Gabon and set up a round-table to pinpoint possible fields of action and common strategies.

The Grand Chancellor handed the President of Gabon an official invitation from the Grand Master to visit the Grand Magistry.

Present at the meeting were Paul Toungui, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pierre Claver Maganga Moussavou, Minister of Education, and Firmin Mboutsou, Ambassador of Gabon to the Order of Malta.
