Irina Bokova, Director General of the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organisation (UNESCO), was received by the Grand Chancellor, Jean-Pierre Mazery, at the Order of Malta’s Magistral Villa in Rome on 21 November.
At the meeting, talks focused on strengthening cooperation between UNESCO and the Order of Malta in the field of culture and, more specifically, the safeguarding of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
Also taking part were the permanent observer of the Order of Malta to UNESCO, Ambassador Ugo Leone, and the Ambassador of the Order of Malta to Bulgaria, Camillo Zuccoli.
