Fra’ Matthew Festing returned to his old school in England at Ampleforth College this week and hold a conference to members of the Upper VI class on the History and Aims of the Order of Malta.
Fra’ Matthew Festing and his predecessor Grand Master Fra’ Andrew Bertie (1988 2008), were both educated at Ampleforth College.
Dominic McCann spoke about the work of the young volunteers of the Order of Malta in England (OMV) and his own involvement with them, in helping orphan children in Romania. The Grand Master and Dominic McCann were welcomed and introduced by Sixth Former Rebecca Tonna. The audience included the Abbot Fr Cuthbert Madden, Fr Gabriel Everitt, together with members of staff and students of the Upper VI class.
